Ashcroft Traceable Calibration Certificates
Ashcroft traceable calibration certificates verify that calibration was performed with standards that are traceable to SI units through NIST or equivalent national metrology institutes (NMI), in compliance with ISO17025:2017 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.1.
What You Should Know
NIST is an acronym for the National Institute of Standards and Technology. It is an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Standards used to calibrate NIST instruments traceable to the International System of Units (SI).
However, metrological traceability can be to SI through any recognized metrology institute. This type of calibration does not indicate or determine the level of competence of the staff and laboratory that performs the calibrations. It mainly identifies the standard used in the calibration to a recognized metrology institute.
